Math Discussion - Blue 1

Hi Blue Team! A math trivia for you. Consider the product below.

Each letter represents a number from 0 to 9.
Which two numbers can the letter E represent? Why can't it be other numbers?

6 comments:

  1. E=2

Reason: 1 E=4 L and it can only be a 4 digit number, so 3-9 is out. Next, 4 zero is still 0 and it cannot be the same number. 4 ones is four but 4x4 is 16 and it is not the same as and 6 is not the same as L. When you use 2, 4x2 is 8 and 8x4 is 32 and the last number is 2 so it will be the same as L.
